The Band did not achieve the commercial success of some other rock groups, but most people know their hits "The night they drove old Dixie down, "Up on Cripple Creek" and "The Weight" all of which featured Levon Helm's southern drawl vocals.
He also played drums and stringed instruments especially the mandolin. The Band backed Dylan when he "went electric".
One of my all time favorite groups. Levon, also a great solo artist, had throat cancer, RIP.

My new LED bulbs would not flash at all. When I wired in the 6 ohm load resistor, they flash at about 1 per second.

My cars still use the old round base bulbs, but that sounds right. Here's a link I used to window shop bulbs before I found a similar product for a lot less on ebay.

I would think the manufacturer would indicate that a different flasher might be required.
The LED bulb sellers mention that a load resister is needed with some installations. Makes me think maybe something wrong with the product.
Seems to me, when I would hook up the trailer, the signals would hyperflash from the extra load and I would change to a H-D flasher (with a heavier bi-metal switch) to slow the flashing.

Well, I got my 1157 LED's and load resistors today, found a suitable location for the resistor, modified it and mounted it with JB weld and a pop rivet to the metal frame end.
They do get hot. It took me longer than an hour .

The cornering lamps might be good for gramps on his Buick or Caddy, but IMO they're pretty much pointless on a 'vette.
I had painted the amber front side markers with Nightshade so they are not really visible in daylight.
I wired the cornering lamps into the blinker circuit, and think the extra flashing light will be helpful, especially with today's typical distracted driver.
With some amber 1156 LED's and their minimal current draw the on/off interval is the same as stock.
Of course now I need to put LED's and load resistors in the front, also. The instant on/off is so much better.
The foil covered unit seen tucked in the bumper is the ballast for the HID fog lights.

Very sharp! Love the body style.
Looks like a real Camaro should.
BTW, I had my Bose Gold radio, CD, cassette, unit fixed in Jan. The shop I took it to sends them out to someone in NY. Flat rate repair. In other words they go over the whole thing, fix whatever it needs and warranty it for a year for $300. The tuner module was $200, flat rate if it makes you feel any better. The properly working Bose is just fine for these over decibeled ears and I have no intention of swapping out to something that doesn't look OE.
I know I'm behind the times but as someone that remembers when a rear seat speaker was a big deal and Vibrasonic was totally tits, I just don't need 75# of earth shattering stereo. At my stage in life I'd rather listen to the motor most times anyway.
It's nice to have the option of radio, CD, or cassette also.
I still have lots of cassettes I recorded.

I'm glad to see that the numerous marches here in Chicago are trumpeted by the clergy as against youth violence in general, not to make a martyr out of the dead guy. One wouldn't know it from the signs being carried, however.

Stir the pot? The racist Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are surely doing that.
Seems it's OK for blacks to kill blacks, blacks to kill whites, but not for a white to kill a black.

I really like the instant on feature of LED's.
It's like a slap in the face to the texter/cell yakker that's bearing down on your rear bumper.

There was a line of guys waiting. I got one.

...when it comes to what's over my head in the '91.
Nothing at all, targa brace, acrylic or painted top.
I think I've gotten more use out of the targa truss already this year than the last couple combined.
Nothing at all is mostly fer just lookin' at.
I like to baby the acrylic top and in summer it's hot.
The painted one is the most practical.
Good for trips and everyday driving.

Some of the roads around here pass through more than one municipality and county.
As such the same road can have stretches of concrete, asphalt, be in repair or in bad repair.
It depends on who the responsibility of maintaining it falls on, the municipality, the county, the federal govt. or a combination.
They all usually try to pass the buck.
But everybody loves those federal dollars.
That's what your congressman is for, right?
BTW, cool looking bridge.

Did some informal shooting Sunday at a range where you can shoot anything at anything. Wifey even came along as it's a nice woodsy setting. A couple of the guys had what's called a bump stock on their AR's. This thing turns the AR and some other guns into what is effectively a full auto weapon and it's perfectly legal. Here's a YouTube on it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_U6tORrODJE
Cost is around $350.

Yes, Navy Arms Cattleman by Uberti. Got another 1873 Uberti that is modified to shoot cap and ball. Lots of fun. Accurate too. 1860 Colt Army replica, 1836 engraved Patterson. The Italian made replica firearms of the Old West is really a cottage industry, but they turn out some wonderful guns.

I picked this up a couple weeks ago. Quality Italian made Peacemaker 4 3/4" bbl. in 44-40. I like it a lot. Groups about 4" at 25 yds. off a bag with cowboy action loads.
Going out to a club near Marseilles Sunday where one can shoot anything at anything, not just paper, as long as you clean up after yourself. Should be fun shooting at some novelty targets for a change.
Illinois is the only state without some form of concealed carry thanks to the politicians from the armpit (Chicago).
We (The Illinois State Rifle Ass.) had a huge annual rally in Springfield, the capital, last week, thousands of marchers.
It received zero press in Chicago. Yet if they send a couple busloads of leeches down there complaining about something, it's front page news.
