The new shoots better,IMO and I'm an amature. The HPLV guns are a blessing as far as overspray and they're inexpensive.

Everything else is the same as you did 15 years ago except, you should get a good respirator to shoot urethanes.

Thanks for the advice. I still have all of my old tools, and a friend with a spray booth. Do have to get another respirator though. It'll be fun.

I find it sad that him and Farrah die on the same day and while Farrah spent her fame exciting young boys, MJ spent his getting excited by young boys, and this country spends their news time honoring the pervert.

RIP Farrah.

Last day here for my sister and all the kids to be here. I'm gonna leave work early and take them back to the swimmin' hole. The kids had never had a chance to do anything like that since they all grew up in central FL, and that's all they've talked about since we went Sunday. And there ain't nothing like a good ol' TN swimming hole in a creek.

No dislike. Just never been a fan for the body styles. As an old motor head, if I got a really good deal on one I'd pick it up to turn it over for some pocket change.

I'm taking all the visiting Nieces and Nephews to a real old fashioned swimmin' hole at the creek today to cool off. 11 kids 12 and under all together. Should be fun. Or interesting at the least.

Had the show today. Really good time but I could only take about 4 hours of the heat. I got a sunburn on my fishing sunburn I think. Last count was around 70 entries. Really good for a first time show.
Two other Vettes there besides my 79. A 78 Pace & a 64. Of course they both smoked me.
Hey, I'll get on my paint soon. Besides I don't have fixin up time, I drive mine almost everyday.
My sister made it up from FL last night along with her 2 daughters. And one of them brought her 3 girls. My Mom lives with my wife Sheri and I, so needless to say I have a full house for a few days. It's all cool. We're havin a good time.
They all came out to the show, along with my brother and his 60 Bel-Air and 3 more of my nephews, and a few friends showed up for support. We had our own little gathering. My whole family has always been a bunch of Motor Heads. Been a good day.

Man, all the talk about shows is great. Seemed like for the longest time all the talk was about the crappy winter weather.
I've got a show tomorrow at the YMCA in Springfield, TN if any ones out this way. I am soooooo looking forward to this.
Have a great weekend ya'll.

I'm printing some flames to cover up the primer on the Vette. My shops co-sponsoring a run what you brung car show Saturday so I'm just trying to dress it up a little.

If anyone can come it's at the YMCA in Springfield, TN from 10 - 4. No admission but $10.00 to register if you're showing.

It's the Y's first show but it's looking like it's going to be huge. Hopefully I'll see some of CG's folks there if any are close to us.

I'll throw up some pics when I get the hide - a - mess flames on.

I did that video for Ron when I saw his post on another forum. Last I heard from him was in Dec. 2008 & he hadn't gotten it back. Cops said they had reported sightings and that they thought the Hells Angels were involved. But that's all the news he got from them. He did say he was looking at another one though. Think I'll give him a call.

If anyone's interested, this is a trip I took to Norfork (Boy You Sure Got A Pretty Mouth), Arkansas. It's the first break I've taken from the shop in over three years, and my first time Trout fishing. I've Bass & salt water fished all my life, but never Trout, & never used a Fly Rod before.

Any way, give it plenty of time to buffer because it's in HD and will be crappy choppy if you don't.

If it's actual bubbles forming in the clear I think you've got it mixed too hot. Been about 20 years since I sprayed, but I did custom Harleys for 9 years. I'm way behind on the new paints that are out now so I can't be sure, but that's what it sounds like. When I was spraying we could still get lacquer.

Morning ya'll. Spent the whole day in a boat yesterday. Not much action with the fishing. There's two dams that converge where wee are and they were both generating so the water was pretty messed up. Still hooked a couple of nice Brown Trout though.
Then at 11pm, after the generators had shut down, we went to the North Fork dam with a full moon and fished till 4:30 this morning. Didn't bring in but 3 really nice Rainbow, a Striper that came in at about 5 lbs., and a big ol' Walleye.
We're heading to a private trophy spot today, somewhere in Missouri. Not too sure about this one. I've never fished stocked waters before. Always found my own holes. Plus they charge by the pound. Oh well, should be fun though.
Ya'll have fun today. I know I'm going to.

Morning ya'll. Been in Norfork, AR since Wednesday Trout fishing. Was on and in the water yesterday from 8am - 11:30pm. Flat wore out but man what a large time. If I can roust everyone else out of bed I'm ready to head out again. Man, I've needed this break. First one in three years.

Morning ya'll.
Mentally I'm in the stream fishing. Physically I'm still trying to tie up loose ends at the shop.

It's really cool having people here that I can walk out the door and not have to worry about a thing.

I'm at the shop trying to get caught up on a bunch of stuff. I'm leaving out on the 3rd for a week of Trout fishing at Norfork Trout Resort in Arkansas. YEAH BABY! First real break I've taken in 3 years.
Any Gurus in that area? Drop me a line before I go and we can try for a quick get together.

After going through the museum it just got kinda boring. If you weren't in a click no one really had time for you. Tried talking to some of them and it seemed like I was being a bother.
There were 3 other c3's there but I never saw the owners. They were probably doing like me and looking for the other C3 owners. LOL

Oh, and I was dumb enough to ask what a 'Cruise In' was too. You'd think I had a dead cat tied around my neck. Turns out it's just a car show. Go figure. But I am just an old redneck that never kept up with the new lingo.

Sure wish we had a good 'Car Show' somewhere close to me.

One question though, when you have a couple hundred brand new, off the lot cars entered in a show, how do you judge them? Does it go by how much each individual got off their sticker price?

3M makes an adhesive for rubber trim, works great. You can get a small tube of at an auto paint supply store. Can't remember what it's called though.

Just got back from Huntsville. Man if I wasn't so old I'd pack up, move down there and start all over, just for the fishing. If I can reschedule some things I might go To Arkansas for a week to do some fishing in the next week or two.

Let's see. Friday I went to the cruise in at the museum. Great 3 hour round trip ride. Nothing against anyone, but damn I wish there were some C3 functions going on. Counting me there were only 4 there by the time I left. Loved the museum though, it was my first time there.
Yesterday I drove to Huntsville for my nephew's graduation party and I've been fishing for the last 1 1/2 days. The big blow out is tonight. In the morning I plan on getting a bunch more fishing and then head on home to TN. Been a good weekend. And it was great seeing how far i could get in the 79 without feeling I had to worry about something breaking. This was my first real trip I've made since I bought it last August. I've been spending most of my time finding out what had to be fixed, and the best way to do that was drive it and see what would break. Nothings broke this round so far.

Anyone on here going up from the Nashville or surrounding area or going through Nashville that can hook up Friday morning and go together?
I'm going up Friday only but would like to meet some of our guys.
It's my first BG run so I have no idea where to go or what to do when I get there. I'd like to hook up with more C3 guys and gals. I'd love to get together with more from my area. I'm in Springfield, TN. 20 miles north of Nashville off I-24.

Left the shop around noon. Went to my buddies garage and swapped the clutch fan for a 6 blade flex. Bypassed the heater core for the summer. And have an alternator bracket scribed out on 1/4" aluminum. I'm gonna mill it tomorrow, and maybe replace my master cylinder. I love days like this.

Sounds like I need stay with the 750. The FI came off a mid 90's truck butI didn't even think about the computer aspect. Don't think I wanna get that deep into a swap like this. It aint like I don't have enough to mess with having a 79'.

Thanks ya'll.

I'm running a 350 Crate, very mild build so far, with a 750 Holley V2nd. A friend has a complete fuel injection set up that I can have for free.
I don't know anything about Fuel Injection really. So would the swap be worth it or not. What would be the advantages/disadvantages?

Congrats on the bass. I've never got to play a six string.
