Back at work today after a good day off. Any day off is a good day off. Got some literature last night from the local Porsche Chapter about the road races in Sebring in February. Corvette has a corral there too. One event, choice of clubs to be with. The Porsche club is an event sponsor so we could work (volunteer) at the event. I may not go at all. I need a good swift kick to get me motivated or find some hidden energy source.

I rememder when my son started driving. He made a few mistakes and misjudgements. Thankfully, he never got hurt. Worry is useless. You can't do much about something till something happens.

Tire pressure gauge. I don't know if it's the best but it's the most important.

has trouble estimating when to stop in a parking space before hitting the concrete stop with the plastic air dam. I've hit it more times than I care to remember. I guess if I drove it as a daily driver I'd be used to it but that long sloping nose is still deceptive to me, even after almost 6 years. The back end is no piece of cake either when backing up. I usually have more room back there than I think I have. The C4 Corvette has a feel all of it's own. Maybe I need to get some cameras installed.

Hello everyone. South Florida started the day in the mid 60s and will climb to about 78 degrees today. I am trying to get motivated to do something but so far my azz has been glued to a chair. I want to take the 90 for a ride and stretch her legs. Thinking of going pick up a few things at Home Depot with a gift cetificate I got for Christmas. Absolutely a beautiful day to ride with the top off but I don'have the energy to take it off. Guess I'll just have to settle for opening the windows. I just have to keep in mind that if I don't do it, it won't get done. Up ,up and away ........

Accidently engaging the cruise control is a hoot. The car started accellerating leaving me saying WTF An application of the brake quickly resolved the issue. Quick reflexes and learned experiences have you going through the 1) Put it in neutral 2) Shut down the engine then you lose steering and braking power 3) Apply the emergency brake. It's amazing how I react under pressure. Sometimes I do the right things, sometimes I don't. You have to keep running senarios through your head and have quick reactions to avoid potentially hazardous situations. Like when someone cuts you off. If you have to think about it, it's already too late.

So, Did you isolate the problem?

Have any of them ever owned a Corvette? Have they gone to car shows to garner support? Do they prefer a hotdog or a hamburger? All of them mashed together into the same mix =

That's my first day in Lower Matecumbe Key kicking of a week of fishing, eating and resting. Also some shopping I'm sure. Have a great show. I'll catch up with you one of these days. Yup, a week off about 50 miles from my home. Any vacation is a good vacation.

It has been that way for as long as I've lived here. It's not just around my area. It's the whole county. Law enforcement isn't thick enough to get a handle on it. Uzi's and automatic weapons were common through the 80s. There is a plea made every year that goes unheeded. By the way, any fireworks that go bang are also outlawed. People around here put on bigger shows from their yards than some towns on the 4th of July.

To tell the truth, I was getting help over there from other members over here. So there is no need for me to go back very often except to peruse the archives. I got good feedback and info here regarding the technical issues I have had recently.
