The rubber lines should run to the front of the car for the evap system, they wouldn't be easy to change.

Wire just below the link melted. Under the batteries.

that is another option I am going to remove the battery and check the relays there later.
Heading to the bone yards in a few. The plastic master cylinder on the 87 has a connector that goes to the bowl, well mine has a crack in it.

Ok "no" power to fuel pump relay plug. Any one know what it's source is. It is the large wire on the slotted side of plug. Can I tap into other hot plug for fan and youse it. It's power comes on when the key comes on.

Jumped fuel pump works fine.
does anyone sell the rubber liner under the gas cap, Mine is getting shot. Dirty too

I replaced the relay and plug wires already.
I had thought about going to the plug to the fuel pump and check for current . Can the fuel pump take a full 12 volts to jump.
I got this one from Race tronics 3 years ago. I was hoping it didn't get fried from the relay some how
I guess just bumping it

my mechanic that worked on my 87 vet left the relays hanging loose. Pulled in my driveway and a poof of smoke comes from drivers side and engine shuts off. smelled like burning plastic. wires don't look good so I replace relay plugs and relays. Have spark but fuel pump not pumping. All fuses good. Could the fuel pump been damaged.

This small cap from the master cylinder was cracked it attaches to the break fluid reservoir. where do you find this part. Break fluid leaking

The twin disk works ok for you I was looking at it.

Vet has been in shop over a month being Smoged. Repairing so many problems on that Accel intake piece of junk/. In the picture below my thumb the intake tubes were cracked. They weren't when I installed them. 2 Of the injector I put on it the o rings were bad I bought them on ebay. I am guessing my son when he was taking the heads off and reinstalling 1 bolt he stripped it out and permitexed it in. He didn't use the gaskets I bought on this sight from Scott 7 to put the intake back together.

Ahhh

kits? meh... parts? yes...

There are a couple of shops making the motor mount brackets, and Bill @ ZFDoc has an adapter plate for the ZF6... There are no wiring harness adapters that I am aware off. There is documentation on the web, but no plug and play kits.

Ron Francis has the wiring

Hell I have enough parts that I can almost replace every part. What a pile of crap though.
383 Stroker / hydraulic throw out bearing and new transmission were the most essential up grades . The accel intake was great also.

Code 22 came up and found out it was suddenly bad. (1 year old). After fixing the code 33 a few mounts ago suddenly a Autozone sensor goes out.

I replace it with a new one and the 383 stroker has more power then ever. Code 22 cleared and engine idling correctly.
I am in the country so I want to see if acceleration is any better. 1st and second like gang busters. I go to third but I don't punch it in third about 70 I punch it and it sounds like the clutch slips until I let off gas.
I repeat the same thing. Similar results. One more time but in third I smoothly press the pedal of the tko 600 and no slippage.
Any thoughts.

Bob - something to consider... how many miles on your car? Is the OD working right?

The 4+3 has a life... and the problem now is finding good folks to fix the damned thing... and some parts are getting hard to find, IIRC. This is why I am a fan of the TKO 5spds.

They are available as the TKO500 (500 ft-lbs of torque) or the TKO600 (600 ft-lbs) and with either .64 or .67 OD (IIRC).

They are not cheap, but they are a serious - and I mean SERIOUS - upgrade. The 4+3 was a Borg Warner Super T-10 with an OD unit (essentially a 1 spd Power Glide) attached to the tail shaft. The TKO boxes are the latest in modern, internal shifting manuals. The T-10 is a leftover from 1962... it's that archaic... external shifting rods, little or no options to enhance the shift linkage... ick-poo. And it's complex.

You can, with some effort, retrofit a T5 5spd into the C4. But the TKO boxes are already fit to the C4.

The super Ram was great. Putting in the new exhaust system this summer.

LSx engine controller was next on list
What a mind reader Andy

I am not sure about hydraulic throw-out bearings for the 4+3, but if Steve gave you that info, I am sure it's right!!

Depending on your goals, I would either get a new master/slave, bench bleed it and install... or consider the TKO upgrade, if you goal is the enhance the cars overall performance, like Steve has (383).

The upgrades Steve has done to his has raised that car up a number of pegs... seriously... the next big upgrade for his would be retrofitting an LSx engine controller to it. That'll freak out the smog check ppl... heh heh heh...

Wow having problem with sight. When I got the TKO 600 it was to handle the 383 Stroker the Engine Dr. Built for me
next step is to install LS exhaust
and Andy the mind reader install LSx engine controller

Wow was washing off the fifth wheel 85 degrees out and just splashed the vet. Full length crack down the middle of the windshield.
Are the windshield hard to come bye and will I need an installer to put it in. Are getting seals that work easy to find. Is this a hard project?
I am good at breaking glass.

Mine didn't and I ordered a sh@@ pot of bushings. as they were cheep. The funny thing is you can find one in the help section at AutoZone and trim it to fit. Check the pin the pushrod attaches for ware as mine was half rubbed off allowing for poor contact with the inside of the master cylinder. The Bushing that the pedal goes on also allows the pedal to misalign. Found that out when I took mine apart. With the rod bushing and pedal bushing installed the action is great. Don't recommend removing the pedal just did and my 6'4" son helped and he is still hurting from being down there.

Or, step forward.

This is why a 383 makes little sense. I try to modify old tech, and the computers fail and you can't find one, oopsie... problem brewing.

Or, I can get an LS2 or LS3 or something, rebuild the ZF6 and get all new engine with all new technology.

Your right Andy I have the 383 the tko the hydraulic throughout bearing "Sorry at the moment I forgot who gave me the master cylinder adapter mount he made to fit 3/4 clutch master cylinder./ c5 front and rear on the c4. A shit load of parts all work and most either manufactured by individual or paid premium prices for junk
Good parts are so hard to come by and to keep making the vehicle operational you need good friends an a rat hole of money .
