to update everyone and put you at ease . cancer is taking its toll on me .I have a inoperable tumor that's goes the length of my spine . its tentacles have intertwined themselves all through my spine .it isn't easy knowing that your card is punched .but in thinking about it I have been a lucky guy ,I enjoyed a wonderful 3.7with my late wife Debbie .taught golf to 2 young men that are now on the web .com tour . to some I may have been different ( I call it opinionated )but to those who have taken the time to get to know me , I in the end just wanted to be helpful in our hobby and do what ever I could to help out a fellow vet owner . and I once again thank all those on this forum .to me the best vet forum out there . free to give ones opinion and andy not letting anyone abuse another member . he is a class act and it was a privilege to have met him and spent fun afternoon with him . also if you get to meet him hope you get to sample his wife pastries. the are just heaven . which is why I understand that andy isn't the thinnest guy in the world . andy please don't take that the wrong way ,just my warped sense of humor .to all have a great week.off to the practice range to help jimmy with his swing

on both my zr1s I extended the tips 2 in past the valance ,and that was the single best thing I did to quiet down the exhaust. I also think the super turbo mufflers work great with the 3 in exhaust to keep things in a decent level without costing any power

the best way I found to keep the drone down was to extend the tips of the exhaust 2in past the rear valance. a buddy who has been doing exhaust for 30years got me to try it and the difference is amazing . might not look quite as pretty as flush mounted . but my 23 in system in cruise mode is almost as quiet as stk. my system is headers no cats 3in with x pipe and dyno max 3 in super turbos with dual exits

yes I have coil overs. his set up ,he removes the wheels and then puts on the devices to do the alignment with weight pads attached to them . interesting setup.it took him a good 90 minutes to do it. and for what it is worth my car drives better than it ever has .might be best to contact them about all the particulars. for my monet I was very happy with the results

well went to visit my buddy the zfdoc , bill boudreau and had him and his partner ck over my suspension over as well as get her aligned . they have a trick setup that starts by what they call xing the car to make sure it is straight and then they align it . it is the same set up that they use in nascar . the car is also balance by weight on each wheel .the cost is 200 but it is the best money I have ever spent. they also fixed some shock problems I had. so if you live in the phoenix area go to see them and you will love the results the same as I did .

andy ,here is a little tip I do when the batteries in my golf arts go totally flat. I get a set of jumpers and hook another battery to it same pole to same pole. then just come back in an hour . you will have enough voltage to finish charging with a bat charger. I would try this before getting another battery . I cant tell you how many times they come back just fine. if you want to speed the process you can hook the charger to the battery you have connected to the dead one .having 25 golf carts at work I have become somewhat of an expert on them . 6 batteries per cart it can drive one bonkers .hehe

if you do decide to do headers heres an old speedway trick. get a set of the old mister gasket white pressed paper gaskets . put them in a bucket of water the night before you install the headers. put them on and tighten the bolts . then start the motor an watch them expand effectively locking the headers to the gasket forever . tighten the bolts one more time and your good to go .I have used this trick on 15 different cars over the years and it has worked every time .

you might try cleaning the pintle o n the iac . be real gentle with it but the carbon on it can cause it to stick .

ck for bubbles after the thermostat opens if there are a lot of bubbles then you might be looking at a headgasket . the motor should be running while you ck .

they are not hard to change. you need a 50 torqs bit . do you have a factory service manual?? if not and you are planning on doing your own work when things come up I would invest in one .they are a wealth of info .I personally like taking the whole housing off where the bearing is located .some do them with the housing on the car

you talking about the rear end jogged my memory about what happened to mine the diferental shaft had started to wobble in its hole . that caused a vibration to my car . it was years ago and c.r.s. has set in till you mentioning the rear end caused my memory to activate.lol

pledge is what car dealers use to hide scratches on their used cars.it make your paint look great till you wash it. what pledge is great for is plexi glass.

I was fortunate enough to have made friends with a fella that does high end paint jobs . he said there are many great products out there . there are 2 keys 1 use a rotary to repair problems ie start to polish after color sanding .water spots etc. 2 use a random orbital with 3 m finesse it (it is in a black bottle with a powder blue label) for your final polish . then a good carnuba wax to finish it off. also only use the best baby diapers to wipe it all off .funny part of all of this is I have enough baby diapers to have quintuplets.lol

wow what I difference a couple of changes make . changed the clutch last month at bill bs it was slipping bad . then coreys tuning after removing the secondary throttle plates and tuning so the secondaries are on except at idle plus his headers instead of the stainless works (longer primaries and better collector.new shock bushings and removed the front sway bar . the result 11.69 @119.22 mph with a 1.69 60 ft .thanx to reklesdriver for his suspension tips . car never planted so good and runs almost 2 mph better than it ever has . made this old guy feel young again

well feeling a little better so I thought I would drive to Fontana and try my new setup. went to texas last year and installed a new set of headers, 410 gears and corey tuned the zr1 so all 16 injectors work above 1% throttle .have been curious as to what improvement if any it will make in my times . anyone else thinking of going . its a little pricey 50 bucks but they are going to prep the track a lot better than they do for the street legal drags . oh anyone in socal know where I can get 100 oct unleaded. I have heard that a few stations carry it at the pumps but don't know where they are.if you are going I will be in my white zr1

I am getting busy at work so I cant make it the 15th .but I could come over and bring my drag radials for you to use at one of the test and tunes later on . be happy to bring them over so you can see what she does . beats having to but a extra set of rims and tires unless you are going to go race a lot .
