Please explain. (checking timing)because all I know is how to set base timing. My mistake ,I thought it would be like a non-efi when it come to checking total advance.Formal tech training preaches Stock Stock Stock .Still,it doesn't change the problem.

Because I own a timing light. The 36 to38 is a guess based on other information I have gathered. I'am not looking to cause an argument only seeking out all the info I can get so that the combo will be well sorted and proform at its best.

one more vote for the 350 to 400hp (crank) I've had a couple street cars that most would trailer to the track ,but I drove them on the street. Tags, lights and big hp is one mans race car and another mans DD.But it does get old quick. The vette is very mild to me but I like i that way.

well it looks like the only thing to do is have a new chip burnt ,because at 6*it's full advance@3000rpm and 42* I think it should be around 36 to38 total.Part throttle is fine but wot it detonates a little. Just need to pick a intake now. Thanks for advice.

i set it at 6* ,it didnt like it.reset @4 but havent test drove yet.the chip is of 'unknown' orgins .it was in car when i got it.i do know its modded because the a little lite on pollution equip. low temp fan operation w/no fault codes.ive run w/snapon scanner on it every thing looked ok. i know that i need a new tune w/the new combo i have just iam undecieded on an intake so i was tring to make do with the current one untill then.
