Make me a price that feels right to you. Seriously dude I want it gone. I'll add shipping to it unless you have a UPS account. Call me if you want. I'll check in the am if it's still in there. I'm pretty sure it is.

I have a 76' (well parts of it) sitting in the yard. Most of the body (no bumpers), front suspension, and some interior parts.

I want this thing gone. Make me a price on something. If I have it I will sell it. Can't sell the frame (VIN is tied up). Won't explain so don't ask. Just know I can't sell the frame. I can cut into it. Just can't sell it as a titled vette.

Thanks

Neal

Hello and allow me to introduce myself to those of you that don't know me. My name is Neal (Arisa on damn near every car forum out there) and the company I have started is Dip It In located in Laurel DE. Some of you are familiar with this process while some may not be. Water transfer printing or hydrographics can be applied to almost any surface. All items are clearcoated with automotive clearcoat or better so the finish is super durable. There are tons of patterns available from camos to carbon fibers, to animal prints, to abstract, and on and on. Below are a few of the items that have been done recently. I am mainly reaching out to the northeast but will work with anyone or refer you to a local processor. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them. I'll be glad to quote on whatever anyone needs dipped.. be it hunting gear, motorcycle/ATV parts helmets, car interiors/exteriors, computer equipment, PS3 controllers, hair dryers, whatever. Thank you. Below are a few of the items I have done recently. I don't know what questions everyone will have so I can't preemptively answer them yet. Please feel free to ask and I will answer and I'll be glad to quote on whatever you need dipped.. be it a bow, stock, hair dryer, or lawn tractor.

I need car parts to use as displays. if you have anything extra PLEASE contact me. I want to buy some stuff. Fading and scratching is NOT a problem. Also rims (if in the semi local area)

Like hell they don't !!!!

The four pin IAC and ignition control plugs on Arisa are IDENTICAL, same color and length from the breakout of the wiring harness.

How do I know? Two weeks of hell when I rebuilt her in '01. Spent damn near a grand replacing stuff that might have gone wrong during install. Finally found it cause I tore the wiring harness apart tracking wires to see if I had cut one.

Bigger question.... If it has to be replaced can they put the VIN back in the new one so the LT1 Edit software will still work? It is VIN locked ya know.

Double checked the DTC's through the CCM. No ERR. It just doesn't appear. According to the service manuals ERR will only show up if NO communication.... which leads me to this... (unrelated issue) could the CCM be flaking out and just not be looking for the PCM ?

TPS voltage ..... .6 closed and ramps up linearly to 4.5 at WOT.

All injectors ohm at 12.1 to 12.5 ohms.

GM Opti

No ERR in the speed area that I remember but will recheck.

Oh she starts just fine.

The PCM failing crossed my mind.... and I had to stop thinking down that road. :-(

Started while out on a drive one day. Had driven her several times before in the week before. NOT ONE single change, mod, oil change, nothing. Okay I may have wiped the dust off her with a car mop (or whatever they are called).

Trust me I agree. I need my damn AutoTap. Trying not to break down and go buy another right now cause I don't have the jingle.

Lets see if I catch everyone.....

No idle problems.
Factory Throttle body
MY tune. Spent over six months getting it where I wanted it. She has ran this tune for 11 or so years (damn I've had this car a while. lol) Bogus can tell you how well tuned it was. :-)

Will check the TPS voltage tonight.
Yea I had AutoTap before I move but I'll be damned if I can find it now. Of course I found my Ford version with no problem... $&%*#^$*)@*@)$&%^*%^

Engine hasn't been broken open in years (at least 7)

Oh I use to always grab a quick code with the paperclip. One thing I really like about our displays.

Oh and the fuel filter has been changed right after this started. forgot that last night

For starts.....

"Arisa" AmsOil air filter, Throttle Body Bypass, LT1edit, Hotcam, Ported heads, LT's, Mezere EWP, Custom exhaust w/Random Metal Matrix Cats, & MagnaFlow Mufflers, Fidanza Flywheel, Stage III Clutch

New knock sensors
MSD 8.5mm plug wires
NKG Iridium plugs
Opti has 20K or so on it and 8 or so years

Plugs and wires have maybe 300 miles on them

That should cover the important stuff.

Now to the problem.

When I start off from a stop or roll gently into the throttle the engine bucks and misfires like hell. It violently shakes the car bad. I can hammer it off the line and she runs mean as even and I can drop a gear or two to get the rpms up before rolling in and she is fine. Up until the problem started I could cruise fine in 6th at 60mph and roll in to it to pass without issue. Now she is pissed at 60 in 6th.

I've looked the plugs and they look good and I've ohm'ed the wires and they seem in spec to. No burns or cuts or cracks on/in them.

The car has had maybe 30 miles put on it with this problem.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Prayers? lol

As a side note...not sure it is related but more info always helps....When I bring up the OBD on the dash I don't get the options of 4.0, 4.1, or 4.7 (PCM related functions)

What's up bro !!!!!!

I actually found a post you made about me several years ago on here in a round about google way....

"One our members, Arisa, has magnaflows...

Arisa hasn't been around in a while, but the car is a 96 LT4, with cam, headers, cats and 3" pipes to magnaflow mufflers... he failed the state of Delaware noise test with that setup. I don't remember the numbers.

Maybe I should get Arisa over here again. "

LOL okay I showed up. What now?

And before you ask..... NO I still haven't gotten my damn ignition problem figured out. grumble grumble grumble...

On the 96' A4 equipt cars you could check the tranny temp on the dash display. What would be the odds of swapping a A4 brain with my brain and hooking up the sensor so I could monitor my tranny temps ??? Actually I was thinking more along the lines of using a rotory dial and monitoring the tranny and diff temps. Thoughts, comments, ideas, suggestions ?????

Thanks
Neal

Well I pop the tag off the back and reach through to unsnap the bulb holder. I know the 91' up has two torx screws the can be removed to get to the bulb but I've seen to many people crack the lens trying to get it out so I just reach through. I don't know how to get the lens cover off of earlier models. BFH ??? LOL Popping the plate off I know will work.

BTW Welcome to the site. It's nice and quiet here. Not a lot of kids crap to deal with !!!

This is going to sound SO stupid but I'm saying it from 100% personal experence. Do you have the coil control plug and the (I think MAP it's something close to the coil) plugs reveresed. I know they are supposed to be different but on Arisa they aren't. I spend three plus weeks beating my head, cussing and buying a lot of parts I didn't need to discover this was the problem. Yes I would get random spark but it would never fire up. I swapped them and poof all was good again. I couldn't decide if I should cry or laugh when it was all done.

BTW as a sidenote...I doubt you will find any codes of relevance. Most won't register till the engine RPM's are over 300. Not all but a lot....

If all goes well, tomorrow night Arisa will be tagged and legal. God I hope she passes this time. I put the factory exhaust back on because I was sounding off and 105.6 dB and Del state law is 95 or 96 dB. Gessss what a bunch of wussys  Anyway she is quiet as a church mouse now <sigh>.

I haven't driven her in almost a year now. I slipped out and down about a half mile to the church below me and came back. Oh man I had almost forgotten why I love this car so. I can't wait to get her real exhaust back on.

WooHoo !!! Wich me luck !!!!!!!!!!!

You'll need both (about $300.00 for both sets). The difference is the seal on the back end of the connectors. I'll send you details in a PM and I'll contact my rep to see if I can get you a full Delphi connector catalog (it's worth it's weight in gold alone).

Do you think I should put an X-pipe on Arisa or leave her duals alone ? (Yes it's a loaded question) 8)

The 4+3 is basicly a 4 speed with a powerglide auto behind it. As Bogus said I'd grab a factory manual to start with. I can't remember if that unit uses vacuum to operate the OD or it's completely electrical.
