Possibily.

But I've seen a few Goldens fairly close around here. First time I saw one I thought "a bird can't be that big". And, I'm used to big birds, my pet bird measures 36 inches from his head to the tip of his tail (and he looks tiny compared to a Golden).

Hmm...maybe, I'd like to see more. It's just that what appears to be the left talon in the first photo...Oh wait, the dog is karate kicking the bird or maybe mooning it, LOL. Neat pic, whatever it is.

Let's ask the black and white bird. After all, it had a birds eye view.

A pair of red tail hawks nested in '08-'07 about 100yds. from my back porch in a tall fir in someone's back yard and raised two broods. I don't know if those people even knew. This is an urban area. In '08 the female raised three chicks and she was blind in one eye, an amazing feat. Here are a couple shots with the camera held up against the spotting scope.

Good Gawd, Tommy.
There's 2 Goldens lining on the ridge behind my house.
I'm getting scared to go outside.
