Its hot outside and some of that hot is getting in through my bronze roof when the sun is beating through it. They offer several solutions. One is the headliner that is thick and blocks out all light and one is the static cling version. Anyone have any experiance with either? Thanks

The static cling version blocks maybe 30% of the heat, enough to make it worthwhile for me. I'm not an A/C kind of guy unless it's really uncomfortable. I have been using the painted top more when it's hot. You can't beat padded, opaque for heat blocking.
Advantage of the static cling, looks, and it's still semi-transparent so it stays in permanent. Oh yeah, and it's been in for two years now with no problems.

Yep.

I got a static cling with the car. It doesn't compare to the painted top very well. Of course, here the sun is brutal when the car's just sitting.
Funny that the static worked when I bought the car and now, won't cling at all. I cleaned it and the glass but, no go.
Might be the humidity here.

Marcus, if you want to borrow mine to try out, I'll mail it to you.

Thanks guys! I think I will order a static cling one since they are not very much. It should help. Thanks again.

Now that I drive the 'vette almost daily, I experimented with the painted top and the tinted one with the static cling shield installed on sunny days.
I just reinstalled the painted top and will leave it on for now until the sun is less of a factor. Big difference, and I suspect the padded insert on the plexi. top would be much more effective than the cling guard.
