I am in the middle of installing a new audio system and I ran across some wires and plugs that are not connected to anything or have been taped off. One is near the right-rear defroster lead and the other is near the pwr seat controls. Can anyone identify these?

The audio system is almost done. I need to locate and install some quick-disconnects for the front speakers and route the front wires. I will post the details in audio when it's finished (at least this phase).

the wires in pic one are for accessories.

It's live all the time. I guess it was designed for CB radios, early cell phone conections... things like that.

I use mine for a set of parade strobes.

Otherwise, great project! Look'n GOOD!!!!!

One is hot all the time, one is keyed hot, and the third one is a ground. They are factory wires for accessories the owner might want to wire in later.

Excellent, thanks guys! I was planning on adding seat heaters when I redo the seats so that will be handy.

I would NOT use that feed for seat heaters... if you do, be sure to add a relay and get power from somewhere else.

Exactly Andy. I would use those wires for the switches only. The main power will might come from the existing side bolster or lubmar motor power leads. When I redo the seats, I plan on converting them to the standard type. My side bolsters and lumbar inflatables don't work and I like the look of the standard seats better. (plus I don't think the seat heaters would work with the sport seat's speed bumbs.)
