..my son competed in his first official tandem drift event last weekend and placed first out of 10! It was a particularly sweet win because he beat a lot of sponsored Pro-Am drivers. (Pro-Am is the feeder series for Formula D). The event took place at the airfield in Thomson, GA - the airfield was closed for the day.

Here is a 'promo' video from the event. My son's car is heavily featured - it is the black Nissan 240sx with bright purple hood. On the side it says SrsBsns ;{.

My son (Alex) will be competing 'full time' (5 events) in Pro-Am next season for sure.

Enjoy! If you want to skip some of the video - skip to 3:44 and you'll see just how close Alex gets to the 'clipping point' - he is very accurate.

Very impressive. Really no room for error on that course. I'm sure they edit out all the ugly parts though, lol.

I'd love to give drifting a shot in my vette, looks like fun.

One of the Pro-am guys wiped out on the first day - he is OK but car needs to be rebuilt. I'm trying to get hold of a vid!

I would also like to drift the 'vette!
