..my son competed in his first official tandem drift event last weekend and placed first out of 10! It was a particularly sweet win because he beat a lot of sponsored Pro-Am drivers. (Pro-Am is the feeder series for Formula D). The event took place at the airfield in Thomson, GA - the airfield was closed for the day.
Here is a 'promo' video from the event. My son's car is heavily featured - it is the black Nissan 240sx with bright purple hood. On the side it says SrsBsns ;{. My son (Alex) will be competing 'full time' (5 events) in Pro-Am next season for sure. Enjoy! Very impressive. Really no room for error on that course. I'm sure they edit out all the ugly parts though, lol.
I'd love to give drifting a shot in my vette, looks like fun. |
