My 3 & 4 cylinder are running lean. Getting new plugs monday.

Injectors are SVO 32lb. I got them the winter of 2008.

Should I be looking for a injector, electrical, or tune issue?

Also #6 is burning some oil but I am sure that is from my rings being saturated with a stock tune and a 383 with 32lb injectors.

Car is an 85.

hm... lean on 3 and 4... I would start with it all... from the cap to the plug to the injector.

Lean means not enough fuel. can you run a data log? The problem with the L98 is the single O2, so we can't see what both banks are doing. But we can see what the injectors are trying to do.

A test or two:

Swap connectors on 3 and 4 with 1 and 2... see if the problem moves. All 8 should fire at the same time on a stock 85 computer.

Also, do the same thing with injectors, swap them with another pair and see if the condition moves.

Took out the injectors. Going to test them tomorrow and go from there.

Was the plug fouled?
I don't understand this. Could you elaborate?

#6 was not fouled but had a small amount of oil on the plug.

My tune used to be stock with bigger injectors and a 383 with dart heads. I was likely washing out my rings wearing them out quicker than usual.

Over I was getting a popping on decel from a tune or other occurrence.

Ordering 36lb injectors. New NGK plugs.

Hope this fixes the problem. If not it is likely an electrical issue.

Joy.

My lord, 36 lb injectors on a 383? I thought 32 was a bit large.

I don't know your whole set up but I doubt that's going to fix it. Did you make any changes to the airflow? Maybe it's getting too much air now. My LT1 ran lean last summer due to a TB swap.

HSR, 58mm tb, Dart heads, vortex cai.

Why would it just run lean that single cylinder?

They are 36lbs at 43.5. I run mine at 35psi under load.
I am getting a vortec next and will up the pressure to 57psi if needed to cover the added power.
