I ended up with one more of these. It will not work without modifications on the earlier Vettes because the alt. case is larger.

Are you sure the Alt. case is larger on an '85? I know a guy who would probably buy one of these for his '85. I had an '85, but never compared the Alt. to any others, and I made my own bracket......but yours is fantanstic, much better than mine. |

I sold one to a guy with an 85 about a year ago and he had to elongate the lower hole on the bracket to get it to work. I can see if I can find a better pic of the alternator that was on mine so that you can maybe compare it to his but the early Vette's had a different alt. |

Thanks, and you are correct......that is a different alt. Here is a pic of the engine in the '85 that I had a few years ago.
 Would the modification be a big deal? I've got a milling machine, and I know this young guy wants to do away with the pump, and your's looks much better than the one I made before. Thanks! |
