My indoor/outdoor car cover is impregnated with pollen from last spring/summer. If I put it on the car then when I take it off there is a light dusting of pollen left behind.
Shaking the cover out hasn't helped, so I am looking for suggestions on how to clean the cover. |

Wash one of your other cars,Andy.
Then put your cover on that car inside-out. That way, you're flushing the dirt/whatever from the inside of the cover to the outside. I'd use a little liqiud laundry detergent/water mix and spray it on or just mix it in a bucket and pour it on. Let it set a few minutes and hose it off. I just did mine this way. My pickup needed washed again after I removed the cover. A lot of dirt came out. |

Hi Andy. Took my car cover to the laundromat and used one of their hugh washers. Took 45 minutes. 30 minutes to dry in "hugh" drier. This removed to mildew, pollen and saw dust. Erin

Bill & Erin, thanks for the replies. Not sure which method I will use, but they are both good suggestions. Thanks.

I thought about going to the laundrymat but just didn't want to sit there for over an hour. drives me nuts. But a washer probably does a little better job. |

That and I have never washed my pick up truck. It does get rained on occassionally though, and I treated it to 4 new tires yesterday. |

It doesn't rain here so, I have to wash the Silverado...once in a while. Besides, it won't fit in the garage, it's a foot and a half too long. |
