Where is the best place to go through the firewall. I have a vacuum line and a cable that I need to feed through.

you have a couple of choices... but the easiest is to drill behind the battery, near where the big power conduit passes through. I put my amp wires there... then seal the hole with RTV or something.

I know some people put it through a rubber grommet in the d/s footwell, I think that's too tight. My power cables are just drilled through an open area in the firewall.

This is where I was looking at but wanted to be sure. It worked perfect. I am mounting the piggyback control box in this area, so the wires didn't have to go far.

I always thought about bringing my LTCC box inside, but just could never find the right place for it. I am thinking glove box now, tho.

What wire should I use for a "switched" power location.

You need something that will power when the car is on? What kind of amps are you talking?

I would run a wire over to the right side and tap into the input side of one of the relays over there. They come straight off the fuse box and it means you won't have some stupid wire coming off the fuse panel.

I will need to check the helms as to which relay is best.

It is for my pod guages and piggyback control. Both have 20 guage wire from them.

You have a switched power wire from the factory tucked under the center console back by the storage compartment.
Factory installed for future use as need by the owner. Actually there are 3 wires there: switched, always hot, and a ground.
