I know about PCMforLess but are there any other mail order tuners out there that anyone here has used and was satisfied with (both tune and customer service)? I know a dyno tune is the best way to go but if I'm just installing a Hot Cam for now, I'd rather wait until subsequent mods are in before I tune up the whole package. TIA...

I installed my hot cam a while ago and I couldn't find any mail order tunes other than PCMforLEss. Are you having doubts about them?

I have used them a couple of times and honestly Bryan has been great. My car wouldn't start with the PCM I got from him and he was helpful enough to call my shop to find the problem. Shop kept insisting it was the PCM's fault. Turns out I had them program 30# injectors just like I ordered from Summit but Summit accidently gave me 19# injectors.

After I fixed the error and got my 30# injectors from Summit the car started right up. I have had a great experience from PCMforLess. I would recommend them.

I agree. I would like to go the LT1-Edit route but don't know enough about tuning it myself. If you have the software, Brian can email you the bin eliminating the need to send him the PCM. The software, hardware, cable is $450. OUCH!!

Anyone here used LT1 Edit?

Have you had a bad experience with LT-Edit? Poking around on the Internet, I found a list price of $380 for the TunerCat OBDII package so it's a little cheaper...

Well, I typed too soon. Apparently, TunerCat sold the OBDII version to Jet who has it listed on their web site at $500. It's now called the Jet Dynamic Spectrum Tuner:

Lt1 Edit is tied to one PCM. If it croaks or must be replaced, you have problems.

LT and LS Edit are inferior programs. I honestly do not know how he stays in business with HP Tuners and EFI Live Flashscan out now. I'm partial to FlashScan. Those guys have their crap together. Too bad they only deal with LS stuff.

For mail order have you tried Speed Inc? http://www.ls1speed.com/services.cfm

They show it for LS cars and I think he said he'll do LT cars as well. Worth a call or email I figure. They do good work.

Pick up an OBDI computer for $100 bucks, get Tunercat for $35 (I think) and I'll e-mail my hotcam tune to you for free You will definitely need to get it tuned after the hotcam or it will drive like crap.
