sorry this has been asked many times but i cant find the answer. Got the kit with brackets and hardware. Having a very hard time getting this to fit on my 88. I checked the kit part numbers and I do have the correct one. Doesnt want to go into position bc of the tabs sticking up on each side. can anyone post some detailed pics of theirs please??

I know how you feel just had my bigmouth air dam ripped off.
The bigmouth had brackets that hooked to the fan and radiator and metal mounts on the side as you see sticking up in the mamotorworks picture. http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette- ... 984+1996-1-135-10734.html Bought the one you have. Made it work. It works great. Does not look pretty will put in shorter bolts. When I have time. Anymore questions steve |

The two out side pieses knock off as I drive out my driveway so don't install them. Mine was lowered an inch in the front. The bigmouth one I had brackets that attached up where you see mine in the picture. Not knowing or having a picture to hook up this one installed this one like my first one. Mine was also a mount for the fan in the picture on the bigmouth model.

Hard to tell from the first pic. I have an 85 and can take some pics tonight when I get home. I have a bar on mine but it is about 3-6 inches above the air dam.

This is what was attached to radatior and body parts. You can see hole for mounting fan. Also wings on ends attached were th flat spot on end of the dam we both have.
This one is ripped to pieces on pit bull on highway. it is all plastic the screws in the other pictures are in the mounting sapces from the old dam. |

Not fully. My freshly rebuilt tranny pooped on me so the vette is at the shop again.

I really apologize for the delay. I was changing the oil today and snapped some pictures.
As far as your earlier question, my air dam is not even all the way across, the sides hang at a different height than the center. Also, I have metal reinforcing bars that mount to the rear of the air dams. Not sure if that is 89 and up thing or what. Here you can see the center is lower: Center air dam, taken from underneath / rear: Driver's side, underneath / rear: Passenger side underneath / rear: This bar runs in the front / center. It is covered by my homemade air intake /debris screen: Hope this helps. Matthew |

ended up being the metal brake booster I installed. I need to adjust the rod. It was locking up the front breaks. I guess since the weather here in arkansas heated up it caused fluid to put enough pressure on it to do this. I should have double checked it anyway. Is there a procedure for adjusting this booster and pedal play?? I want to make sure I don't cause anymore problems. My back can't handle laying down and getting out of the floor board again.

Pull the m/c off the front of the booster and let it hang. Leave the booster on the firewall. Rig up a piece of wire and measure the distance from the mounting flange to the piston in the bore (figure out which is "zero" from the way it fits into the booster). Once calculated, you can measure how far the booster rod is from the appropriate "zero" point on the booster. Move it in with a socket wrench and open ended wrench to hold the nut in there. Just leave a little tiny gap or barely touching. You can smear a small amount of grease on the piston and mount the m/c again to see if you're close.
