VtVette Drivers window goes down 80% of the way they stops?

Hello all, hope everyone is having a great New Year!

The drivers window on my '93 goes down about 80% of the way then stops about 4" to 5" from being all the way down into the door. I removed the door panel today and there is nothing I can see that would prevent travel all the way down. This happened all the sudden one day. The window travels back up fine and back down fine but slows about the same place each time, about 4 - 5" from being all the way down.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Hey Bogus good to hear from you. Been very busy the wife and I packed up and moved out of Vermont to Las Vegas. Could not pass up the deals the housing market had to offer last year. We've always loved the South West and decided it was now or never. We picked up a fantastic place for a song. We really love it here the suburbs are quiet, it's cheaper to live and the winters are much more mild.

Upon moving here a photojournalist friend of mine introduced me to Peter Brock, designer of the original Sting Ray Corvette, Daytona Coupe and Owner/Manager of the BRE Datsun Trans Am team in the late 60's and early 70's. He and his wife took a liking to me and my wife so, for the past year we've been working with them. Fascinating guy to say the least!

Great to see everyone is still here! I mildly considered selling the C4 to buy a C5 or C6 here in Vegas where it's much easier to justify the price as you can drive the car year round. A friend of mine who I worked with in VT and moved out here about 6 months before I did recently bought a C6 Z06. I just can't bring myself to sell the C4 though. I did buy a Mustang GT for the daily commute though.

I'll try to not be such a stranger!

oh, yea... Vegas! Now all we need to do is change your handle from Vt to Nv!

I have met Peter on a couple of occasions, neat guy. I doubt he would remember me; it wasn't like we were introduced or what not.

We are now a whole lot closer! If you find yourself in LA, lemme know... We get to Vegas every couple of years...

I know what you mean about the C4. I have driven newer and they are fine, but I rather enjoy the feel of the C4.

Congrats on the move! If you disconnect the motor can you move the window freely within the track all the way down?
