Hi, i'm looking to buy a stock torque converter for a 89 vette and an uprated band, maybe kevlar or carbon. What size is the stock band?

Preferably i would like to buy them from one website but i'm open to suggestions.

Thanks

Have you tried Ebay? When I purchased a rebuild kit for mine, that is where I got it. I got the red alto clutch packs kelvar band etc. My rebuilder said the parts were fine. There are some good deals on there.

I bought all of my rebuild parts from Dana at Probuilt. Everything I have is upgraded, though.

Ebay has a ton of stock style converters. I broke my stock style converter that had a bigger stall because I make too much power. My new 9.5" converter is from Pete Kane. It is not installed yet so I can't comment on the driving differences. If you can afford it, I'd recommend getting a better quality piece. I learned the hard way.
