I know, it has been done many times before, just wanted to document the lower cost for parts.

Rock Auto C5 Rotors = $50 shipped ($20.99 each)
14x2 mm Bolts = $10.00
C5 Calipers, Brackets & Pads = $190 shipped
SS braided brake lines = $100
Conversion brackets made by me = $0

Since these are NOT Z06 Calipers, I have to paint them the color of my choice

So I painted them w/ RED & Black caliper paint and left the lettering silver, then clear coated w/1200-degree clear,, painted the retro-brackets too

Did you strip them all the way down to bare metal, or just spray with brake cleaner?

No problem, I used a razor blade and cleaned up the lettering,,,

then dont forget to clear coat the Caliper when you are done. I used 1200 degree clear engine paint.

I painted mine a long time ago, but when they got covered in dust I cleaned them with brakecleen and it removed all the paint, too.

Would clear coat protect against cleaners?

Were all the parts bought from Rock Auto?

The 1200 degree ceramic clear coat helped to prevent chipping and is much easier to keep clean, I have not used chemicals on them, have not had to so far...

The rotors are from RockAuto,,, but I got the Calipers and pads from a guy on CF.
