Are these different? My guess would probably be the suspension change from 84 to 85 but this is just a guess. Thanks in advance.

nope. No difference, and any suspension change between 84 and 85 was in spring rates.

I believe 84-85 are the same and in 86 the flanges for the cat changed.

The stock rear Y pipes are different—both 1984 and 1985 Y pipes are one-year only parts (things only stabilized in 1986). Most of the Y-pipe reproductions for the 1985 are awful; you have my best wishes that they are better for your 1984.

1984 exhaust tips also angle down while 1985 though 1990 head (relatively) straight back.

I have true duals sitting from my 85. Just need longtube headers to attach them to or add pipe to connect.
