Nice, but now the rest of it looks that much dirtier. What are you using for the rest of it? Scotchbrite and wd-40?

Aren't those rocker covers powdercoated or painted from the factory?

Have you considered painting the letters in to match?

yes need to get some paint for the letters.. still a work in progress

the Cam covers will get painted next year, I need to clean up the motor, but I am on a limited budget so since I had to remove the plenum for wires and injectors I figured I would paint it..

the original color were painted from the factory, I have already started cleaning the cam covers so it will look fine for this year which is more shake down and finding all the issues

Are the cam covers located by some sort of dowel or something so you can remove and reinstall them without issue?

I understand that there's no cam bearings in there, similar to the 3-valve Ford engines.

I don't know if there is a dowel or not, but I can remove and install without issue, but you need to remove a bunch of stuff to get them out..

I bought this car in July of 07. I drove it ONCE since I have owned it

so if the motor is not perfect this year I honestly don't care I need to drive it to work out all the other issues.

CSS996 this is the ZR-1 you thought about buying, I remember your post on CF about it..

The neglected black one from Colorado?

That was a neat car, but I have no regrets. I love my Ruby.

Any more pix?

Nice!

It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to know that the car is getting the attention it deserves. I do not have the knowledge and skill you do.

They were asking 11k for the car, I believe. I'd be curious to know what you ended up paying for it, if that would not offend you.

PM is fine.

I hope it treats you well!

Holy moly, looks like Safelite did the windshield on that thing. Is that replacement glass or did someone just pry all the trim pieces off for fun?

I took them off (the trim) to clean/ paint it.. the windshied was a shit job. That is why I was asking about the layering of the sealers.. I found some stuff to work, I just need to clean up the parts, paint them and call the glass place
