I started it up this morning and the top right gauge has a crack going thru it. Like something took a hammer to it. Can't figure out why though? It was rebuilt with new bulbs solders fixed, ect. Second, this really doesn't matter to me but it's just possibly interfering with it but the gas calculation gauge that tells you average is backwards!...and a piece of a # is gone. Also, the gas gauge is kinda working and kinda not. Varies now. Like to add that the gas float is working like it should so it's not that. It's something with the digidash and I don't know what. It is going to be sent back to see what THEY screwed up. Very few good electronic shops in this state.

I feel better now that I got vented off. =)

there are shops that specialize in servicing the digi-dash. You need to get past a "local" vendor and find the shop that does the best work.

It would require you to remove it yourself and ship it to said vendor.

I'm guessing that you R&R'd it to do the repairs?

When you replaced it, did you happen to overtighten it? I'm thinking that the body flex in these things is such a mother that it could have done you in.

I don't see that happening. The panes aren't held in that tightly, they have little rubber holders.

I did that. Shipped to Charlotte. Digital dashes is what they specialize in! I have learned my lesson messing with shitty shops. Cost me a little over 200 dollars. No the screws are not tight either. I did not even put the cover back yet. LCD might be cracked and those seem expensive.

The more I think about it, I bet they did not put the digital dash back together inside right because they did it in a hurry...took 3 almost 4 weeks to get it back though and charlotte is less than a hour away. Guess I hit a pothole and it moved something? Not the cars fault this time.

Yes. Had to be removed to send it out.

If it was returned to you in good shape, then it has to be either in the reinstall or as you said, maybe you hit something hard enough to make it happen. I'd think you'd have noticed that though.

Did you look at it when you got it back? Inspect it for damage?

Just trying to find a source here.

Yeah those things are tricky to reassemble, if you rush it you will screw it up... Hell even being careful sometimes it takes me a few tries to get all the panes seated properly.
