So my alternator went out. It didn't upset me much cause the only other thing that's gone bad in 4 years was the opti.
FYI
I went on line to GM Parts Direct and The GM Parts house, they both were over $218. Remf.
Checked the local Kragan, $148 for an Autolite remf., no stock, 6 days min delivery.
Walked into NAPA, got a Delco remf., lifetime warranty, in stock for $128. They also could order a brand new one for $154.

Thats why I dont buy from GM direct. I always go to either Advance Auto or something simular. I saved so much money that way.

Rockauto is probably cheaper, but you have to wait for shipping.

Have a local place here called mid-state auto. Took my alt to them for a rebuild. Checked everything , put new brushes and bearings in for a whoooping $17.

Yea, I also thought about checking with Jeffvette but I was headed to the racetrack the next day and didn't want to take the pickup.

Buy those guys a 12 pack.
I had a starter rebuilt last year and it was $100.

Yea, there is a local shop that would rebuild my alt when it quit for $100.00... $17 is a steel.
