ok, so i did a little tweaking on the audio, and got all the speakers working(that helps alot) would it help the sound out any better if you pack the rear speaker enclosures with some sort of insulation?

what speakers? Bose? no. That would effect their box size and performance. Aftermarket? Could help. Play with it some.

There are all kinds of stuff out there. Poly-fill, sound deadning spray list goes on and on.

polyfill is not what you think it is.

It is a strange substance, that when put into a box, effectively makes the box bigger by slowing down the sound waves.

Must be very careful when using that stuff.

Yeah I took someones advise once and filled my box up with it and it sucked. It hit but not as hard as it should have been. The box was too small for the subs anyway which was one of the problems. But like you said, gotta play around with things to see what helps and what hurts.

What is the effect that you are hoping for? Many people do use dynamat or a similar substance to help cancel out road noise which will give better sound, and it can help retain some of the soundwaves in the enclosure. Polyfill, as mentioned, is often used in subwoofer boxes that are too small of an enclosure for the speaker, to compensate for the lack of appropriate size. I don't recommend using it.

if i can get around to it, i'd love to dynamat the whole interior, and make it really quiet in the interior, but i know it being a roadster will still have some road noise

Does dynamat do anything for road noise? It helps with vibrations from a hard hitting sub, but road noise is probably best handled by the padding the factory puts in.

I wish I hadn't done dynamat, or the knockoff stuff. Adds weight to the car and is about impossible to remove.

From what I understand about dyno mat is that it does eliminate road noise. They have different verity of mats and there is one for road noise. CC is right, adds ALOT of weight! My buddy got the spray in stuff and a 5 gallon bucket was heavy as hell!
