I know that book was called "All Corvettes Are Red." Whatever...

When you think C4, what colour do you envision?

We are trying to come up with unique colour themes for each gen... as it stands, we are going to ulitmately have 3 main boards.

One board will cover C1, 2 and 3, and other for C4 and one more for C5 and C6. We are doing it this way due to traffic issues/load balancing and, in many ways, common underpinnings.

So far, we have come up with Red/Black/White for the C4 section. Bastet44 likes that combo (and I agree), because those are the colours of the C4 emblem.

For the C1, 2, 3 forum, we are thinking Torquise/Black/White and for the C5/C6 forum a Sunset or Daytona Orange/Black and white combo.

The first colour in the list is the detail colour, banners, boarders title bars. The 2nd is for font, and the third, the text back ground.

So basically, we are looking for a primary colour to be the theme for each site.

I am not doing this as a poll... just too many options over the years.

Thoughts?

I would mostly have to agree with you on your choices. When I think of a C4, I think of a white car with a red interior. This despite my love of Comp. Yellow C4s, and my new bias toward Ruby, AND my old fling with a silver/gray '84. Not sure how well white will translate into a web page...

Although Admiral blue with all the stripeys makes for some neat visuals...

Turquoise and white is classic C1 Vette as far as i'm concerned. It might have to be more like a vanilla than pure white.

The yellow C5/C6 are what stand out in my mind though.

It would have to be a real vivid yellow... one that would show off on the banners.

Then again, with black boarders and font, it might work....

I have to be honest. This forum has one of the best color combos I have seen on any forum. I have been on some forums where the color combos really strain the eyes, this is a nice mellow and easy on the eyes. Just something to concider if color changes are what you are thinking. By the way, I allways think red paint, black interior when I think C-4!

I am partial to red. I own a 93 Torch Red Coupe with black interior. I vote for red. :thumbright:

I am not replacing this combo, just adding another. So if you like this you can keep it!

More than likely, tho, the new combo will be the default C4 colour, but all colours for all gens will be available.

For example, you like the new red theme. Cool. You get a C5, and the theme there is, say, Yellow. You don't like that, so you can use the C4 theme there.

Simple!
