i put a new exhaust system on my vette, not a real expensive system ..notice its kinda loud. Are there some tricks out there to quite it just a bit?

Do a search for "exhaust inserts" or "exhaust baffles".
Some of them can be installed in the exhaust tips. |

Not sure what you have now. Couple of guys replaced the resonator with twin dynomax mufflers, or a magnaflow dual in and dual out. They said it made a world of difference.
These were on factory true dual LT1s. |

that's an 84, so it has a single center pipe - the cat, that is.

hard to say... if the exhaust is too cheapo, it might just not be up to the job.
I found that the L98 is rather subdued anyway, due to the central cat. Even moreso with the pup cats used on 87-91's. Do you have smog testing in MI? If not, would be looking for an entire LT1 system... go nuts. Dual cats, dual everything. |
