what does it mean when i can manualy lift my window up and down by hand, the motor turn when i hit the switch but the window does nothing it's like it is not attached to anything, could this mean i broke a window ribbon?????and how do i take my window apart is there a diagram for this? please help my corvette brother's......Serv

In 84-86 it's more than likely a broken ribbon. But they had changed the regulators in late 86, so I don't think you should have that style. CC did a write up on it, the link is below:

I don't think 87 has window ribbons.

Where they pretty slow when they did work?
