I'm getting H-31 through H-38 ?? Can anyone decipher and point me in the right direction? The car seems to be running without any noticable problems? "SYS" flashes on the speedo every so often, but isn't effecting the operation.

The FSM indicates these all have something to do with an open circuit or shorted to ground condition, and they all mention the CCM as a potential cause, and say that it can be intermittant. I don't have any experience in this area, but the FSM contains all the diagnostics.

I neglected to mention that the instrument cluster is also listed as a potential culprit. So, it sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere under the dash, a bum CCM, or the cluster is going out.

With 8 separate codes, it's likely there's only 1 thing wrong.

You need FSM, to see in the diagnostic flow chart OF EACH ONE, what all have in common.

See if you can borrow FSM from the dealer, or get a shop to print out Mitchell's or ALLDATA for each code.

I wouldn't let ANY shop have it, unless I knew the boss WELL. A shop would start the time clock and do the diags for every code, without lookin' for common ground FIRST.

I did a little reading, and the "H" is for History and "C" for Current. I managed to clear the CCM codes ----. I'm guessing maybe a bad battery??? I'll run it this week and see if they come back. BLADE I used the pages from the FSM you posted a few months ago, thanks again. I need to get one myself, but I need to buy shocks and a water pump for the Jeep, and a trip up to Horse Shoe Bend, Ariz. are keeping my wallet light thesedays. Thanks for the help.

I did the jeep thing.

'81, rebuilt GM (yup GM) 2.5L/151 .030 bore head shaved, headers (yup) aluminum intake. Lotta' air moved through that motor. Put the motor in BY HAND, SOLO with witness. Neighbor's b/f showed up as I was tryin' to match up tranny splines into clutch.

Oh yeah - it was about 600HP uh huh.
