1. Eddie Lawson's 250cc Superkart at Buttonwillow.
2. Terry Ives's Unlimited Roadrace Kart, Twin cylinder Rotax,300cc. 110HP with a combined kart/driver weight of 485lbs. This kart held the track record at Sears Point for a few years, faster than any car on the track. Attach file: kart13.jpg (0.00 KB) kart14.jpg (0.00 KB) kart17.jpg (0.00 KB) |

that is sick.
I love those fast carts. It's much like a poor mans F1 car. It is of no surprise to me that the best race car drivers come from karting. Way cool. |

A lot of bucks sitting there. Terry probably had over $25,000 in that kart. He'd use up $500 in tires just for a practice and one race.
Very, very scary machine. The lap times were faster than a Formula Atlantic. |

Yea, isn't it? It's actually a 300cc but WTF, and it's a 2 stroke. There was a serious amount of developement work between Terry and Rotax to get there. My 125cc in the other post is fairly stock and still puts out about 41 horse. |
