This program has been around for two decades. The klinton's gave upwards of $500 per car as they were compacted. Many historic autos were destroyed as unknowing owners would rather do their civic duty, than sell it for ten times that amount to a restorer.

I hope everyones spreading the rage about this. Write your congressman!! I know it feels like beating your head on the wall, but we've got to keep on these guys about this stuff!!
Dianne Feinstein of California and Susan Collins of Maine are pushing this as well as Speaker of the house Pelosi!! |
