Ok,I know this fall outside of the standard C4 topics, but I am looking for some feedback before I order my parts.

A little back ground:

I am building a 1985 C4 corvette with a LS1 and 4L60E. My LS1/4L60E come by way of a wrecked 2001 Z28 with 60K miles. This will be a weekend car that will not spend anytime at the strip or track. I plan on having A/C and want the car to reliable. The only action this car will see is from a rolling start (30 – 70 mph).

Here is what I am thinking:

Stock bottom
243 Heads with lightweight valves
ARP Hex head bolts
The factory LS1 rocker arms (off my LS1)
Factory length rods
GM LS7 lifters
factory head gaskets
TSP Torquer V2 cam
LS1 Double roller timing set
Ported LS6 oil pump

LS6 intake
Coolant crossover pipes
160* Thermostat
Full length headers
Full flow mufflers (no cats)
3500 stall torque converter

Any thought on injectors, throttle body and MAF or will the factory 2001 F-body parts work?

Any guessestimates what kind of RWHP I will get with this setup?

Anything I should change?

Thanks,

you will need to get a tailshaft housing from a C4 so you can mate up the c-beam.

Don't underestimate the wiring job, too.

As for power? I would guess an honest 450.

Thanks for the feedback. Any thoughts on the TB, MAF and injectors?

for the TB, you will want one with a cable. I would look into the same size that the Z06 uses.

I would also use the Z06 MAF, but the injectors should be ok.

I would also consider roller rockers.

Look forward to seeing your build!
I'm putting together an LS1/T56 84 myself.

AC and wiring seem to be the hard parts. I am building my car for the road course, so I am lucky enough to ditch the A/C and anything else that doesn't make if faster.

What is your location? If any of the parts I am removing will help your swap, you are welcome to them.

I hope that number is at the flywheel.

Grind it, you will need to use the throttle body off the motor and run a cable. I suggest getting one out of the F-body as well. It has the correct mating ends for the TB and the pedal. Injectors will be fine as well. You can do throttle by wire, but be prepared to troubleshoot.

When selecting a MAF, you need to be careful, they made a couple of different plugs and you will need to match it up with the harness you are going to use, or you need to figure out which MAF you are going to use and then have a custom harness made.

Thanks again. Let me guess also first year for LS1 in Corvette?
I have the 2001 F-body MAF/throttle body and would like to try and find a larger diameter, like maybe the 80 mm. Everything I am finding is $250+.Any suggestion that will work with my 2001 f-body setup that does cost much? I am tapped after placing the order for the engine parts.

Thanks,
