I read an article in Corvette Fever, a step-by-step installation of a new shifter in a C6. Hell, you can practically do the whole thing sitting in the driver's seat. Where's the challenge in that?

Maybe its because MR Goodwrench isnt as skilled as he used to be? GM probably still has it listed in their manual as taking some ridiculous time frame so they charge for that then do it in 1/3 the time.

The transaxles are not that good.

They literally come apart at the seams. The castings are junk...

I will keep my ZF6...
