I am going to replace the weatherstripping on my '93 coupe this winter. All the different sites claim they have the best product and everybody else has crap. Any comments from those who have already done this job? I'm leaning toward the Mid-America kit as it includes tools and glue and they do have a decent rep.

Thanks gurus.

GM.

I have had problems with about every weatherstrip out there not fitting correct in some way and not lasting long. Big trouble pieces are the hatch and the doors.

Wilcox on the 'other forum' seems to have the best reputation for weatherstripping. I only bought two pieces from him (targa top strips) and they fit perfectly.

I have installed the A and B pillars and door gaskets from the Willcox kit, and I had no problems at all. I didn't use glue, either, and have had no leaks. I cleaned any mold release residue off, then lightly coated each piece with Leslie's Pool & Spa Lube (dielectric grease is fine, too). The Willcox pieces (from Corvette Rubber, I believe) seem a little more dense than the OEM weatherstripping. I had to adjust my targa a bit after installing the A and B pillars (I did them a day apart, reinstalling the top in between).

I agree, either GM or Wilcox.
