I understand the theory of the hydra rev hit, and it makes sense. Anyone here running one? What were the gains?
My origional plan was to run a ton of spring pressure on my new combo, but I am kicking around the idea of moderate spring pressures, and the hydra rev. My rev limiter will be set at 6200, and my shift light will not be set higher than 5800, so I wonder if I will even see a gain. |

Typically at that low of an RPM, 125lbs seat and 350lbs over the nose on valve springs will control most all hyd roller profiles. Even with the heavy retro fit lifters.
I don't think you would see any gain. The Hydra Rev was really intended for guys trying to turn a hyd roller near or over 7000RPM. Will |

On my 412, th350 combo peak hp is around 6,000 RPM, so at the track both shifts would be around 6500 or so. I think I'll go with one to be safe. I've had problems over the years with valve float on hydraulic roller cams. -- Joe |

I will be running one on my new motor. I plan on shifting around the 6800 to 7000 mark. Just as a general note the AFR rev-kit for the L98 motor needs some minor machining to work on the Dart SHP block.
