Are we doing a nascar fantasy racing this year? Maybe one of our mods who has nothing better to do (I'm thinking CC) can set that up, if we get enough interest. Anyone else interested?

Didn't you win the last one? I quit halfway into it but I did check the results and emailed the winner but didn't get any response.

I still owe someone money.

I logged in now but all last season's data is cleared.

I'd rather not run it, but anyone is free to, it's not sanctioned by corvetteguru or anything. I have zero attention span for anything on TV lately. I probably won't even watch the superbowl aside from the lingerie bowl at halftime.

Actually nevermind, I remember now the winner was 400hp427vette he hasn't logged in since November.

His email no longer worked, but I was able to dig up a different email for him in my paypal account, so hopefully that works. Otherwise his winnings are going towards my 401keg.

I was just going to say the only way I won that is if you were paying the biggest loser. I was nearly last. Picking Junior screwed me every time I did.

Yes, I wonder how much that will change things?

I wish they would change up the 10 chase tracks each year instead of running at the same 10.

And make Talladega into a flat track, or even reverse banking.

And race in the rain with rain tires and wipers.

If someone wants to start one up I'll join, but I don't have the time to take care of the money or anything like that. Hopefully someone will and more interest will be shown.

Good to see you, was wondering where you went. Congrats on the win last fall! Did you find the right house?

It is really amazing what it takes and how long it takes. I ended up buying property, putting in the driveway, septic system, foundation excavation, underground utilities and landscaping myself, and having a homebuilder construct the house. Still was a 1 year pain in the butt. The easiest part was doing the work I did. The paperwork and scheduling was the hard part.

It amazes me that, if going with a mortgage, it takes 1.5 to 2 months to get everything in line for closing.

One of the smartest things I ever did (unusual for me) was, when I got out of college, I saw an ad for realestate school nightclasses (to get a license). The cost was $250, 6 week course, 2 nites a week.
I took it because I knew that some day I'd buy and it wouldn't hurt to have the extra knowledge.

Yea, the search can take a long while, did for me but, I wasn't in a hurry.

Bottom line, I was informed enough to put some extra things in the contract and demanded a fast closing. From the time I gave an offer to signing and getting the keys was 14 days.

Best $250 I ever spent.
