Will someone please describe the procedure for sending a pm. When I click on the pm icon nothing happens.

Try clicking on a username, then the PM button that shows up in their profile, maybe?

I just tried it. Clicked on your name, then PM and the message box opened right up.

Tried that, nope. What worked was when I clicked "transfer" in your post and then "send the author a pm about the post". Confusing.

Nope, a box appears says "send message to BillH" and that's it. Nothing else happens.
