This could easily be me, being my usual dumpty, but I can't seem to get a signature on the bottom of my messages. I only want to put the car year, but I go and edit the account, enter the details and click save and it doesn't seem to actually save or do anything.
Also just wondered - do the e-mail notifications of forum posts work. I checked a few and don't seem to get an e-mail. Andy did say there was some problem with password recovery e-mails, is this related. Thanks. |

email notifications are related to the email problems we are having.
Let me know if you can't get your signature sorted out. |

Make sure to check the box that says to always attack your signature
I just added a sig to you - needs to work..... |

OK, what's your system, browser and what AV are you running.
I can change you thru the edit user from IE, FF and Chrome without a problem. If you want, PM me your password so I can maybe see what you're seeing..... |

Dont know what the difference is, it is the same machine with Outpost firewall and Avast AV on XP. The only oddity about my setup is the connection method where because of my location I share a single DNS/IP with about 100 other people in our village. It's like a big open wifi network via a sat/radio link from each house to our town hall. I'm ok with using IE if I need to change anything in future, but if you want to investigate further I've PM'd my password to you. Is the e-mail notification something particular to me or is that a global problem for all members? Thanks. |

I've had some weird problems with FF in the past.
I'll see what needs to be adjusted. As to the e-mail, it's a global problem. Our hosting company made a change and it all went haywire. It's specific to them, I loaded the system into another host and it works fine..... Ah, the world of computers and system security...... |

I think it is a FF issue because I can change them with IE but not with FF. Not a big deal just as long as I know what to do next time I need or want a change.
