I had the RH door panel off, ck'ed the motor and switch. Moving on to the LH side today. Are the relays behind the battery?

I will have to check the Helm manual to be sure.

Strangely enough, 99% of the time, when a power window fails on a late modle C4, it's the damned motor... try slamming the door. If the window starts working again, you have found the problem. The brushes get stuck up in the motor and that's about that. The slamming trick can free them up.

There is no servicing those parts, which sucks... at least none I am aware of.

Ok, I'm not electricaly inclined so I approach things from a mechanical point of vieW. I can cycle the motors directly, so they both go up & down. When I turn the key on the Driver side sw. get warm, and the circuit breaker gets hot? When i unplug the circuit breaker, then plug it back in it arcs. If I disconnect the driver side switch it dosen't arc. Is my problem in the drivers side switch? I cant find a "Window Control Module" in the door s. Does this year have one, and where the h#ll is it and the relay??

One of mine gets stuck about every 6 months or so. This is not in the manual. I sit in the passeger seat and slam the door while holding the window switch in the direction you want it to go. This could go into the 101 things you can do before you have to repair something booklet. Might not work, but it is worth a try.

When one fails, do they both fail? I'd be looking for something they both share, like the same power circuit.

Mine has a thermal fuse in there somewhere that if the system is pulling too much current, it will shut down the circuit for a while until it cools. This could be from bad motor windings, a partial short, bad thermal fuse, etc.
