Good stuff! I love those old altered wheelbase Dodges. Do you remember E.J. Potter? He used to run a small block Chevy engine in a motorcycle frame. I saw him run a couple of times. The man was crazy!

Great video.... thanks for sharing.

I liked it back then when race cars.....were actual cars vs total fabrications of today.

Yea, seen Potter run and remember he had a backyard with 50 gal. drums full of helicopter parts that he used for building bikes.

Our "BountyHunters" Dodge had leafs we could change to move the rear wheels front aabout 18 inches. Changed the class from Super Stock to Altered.

This is the only thing I could find on E.J. Potter and it's not that good.

I remember I was at a small drag strip in Kansas and he was the feature of the day. He did his warm ups and was ready to run and they couldn't get the timing set or something and he was riding around on that thing in circles and he yelled "You gonna run this sumbitch or what, dammit! We all got a kick out of that! He did make the run.

A bunch of cool footage there. Love seeing the old Willys and Anglias. Those were the days of run what ya brung drag racing. I see where in the last vid, they had to get extensive footage of "Jungle Jims" pit crew....hehehehe
