Even $3k CDN looks suspect... that thing has been rode hard, beaten on, put up wet, beaten on some more, then pimped, and beaten twice after that.

What a tragic mess. I am not sure if that door has been badly painted, there is a vinyl mask that has bubbled off, or really bad body work. In short, take your pick.

No matter what you do, that thing is gonna cost. If you want to track it, that body kit will have to go - weight! the automatic is not the box of choice for autox or road course, if you are going drag racing, well... the 700R4 is not the best bet, either.

The engine compartment makes me think it's been at least 15 years since it has been touched with simple green. It looks like an absolute mess.

Then there is the interior. It might be ok, but only after several trips to the local industrial vacuum...

In short, I think I would pass on that one... unless you REALLY want a project.

I don't think that's the greenwood kit. It IS a greenwood wing, but the rest of the kit does not look to his standard, one bit.

If that has 30k miles on it, those must have all been done on the AlCan... in the winter... during storms. It looks brutalized.

I would be afraid of a car with so many tacky and poorly done mods simply because of the mentality of the owner.

Imagine what kind of electrical work he might have done to it, or the other halfass repairs that you'll stumble across and have to undo.

There's got to be some other cars in poor shape but with less baggage than that for track use. Plus who wants a vert.

Hell, I saw a 85 down here listed at $1K that needed engine work but looked stock otherwise.

One thing to consider and to check with the event organizer that you plan to run with is will they allow convertibles run without a roll cage.

As an instructor, I won't ride in a convertible with no cage.

Lots of other stuff out there in good shape for decent money. No more than a $1000 US if you gotta have it.

If you look, it also has a reconstructed title.

The door looks like bad bodywork. The paint was not done properly if you look closely at the pictures.

It seems to have some other issues, but if you want a project, go for it and plan on spending a lot.

As a track car, it's not worth it, IMHO.
