if any of you are vintage ski-doo buffs. i have a 1976 ski-doo t'nt 250rv that we have had for years but have hadn't had the time to mess around with it.. my father use to race it at long lake in upstate new york in the 80's and sold it to a friend. he lost interest and we got it back when i was 16. a friend of my fathers came by and took carb parts off it while i was in the military so its been sitting for quite a while considering i am 31 now.. i have been collecting parts for it and plan on taking it apart very soon. we have tons of parts for it that we got from a guy that is friends with my dad that use to have a '75 245rv and had tons of spare parts collected from when he would go racing with my father. i hope to be able to get to work on it in a few weeks. i dont have any pics at the moment but i will be updating once i get it out and ready to work on it.

this is what its suppose to look like.

this means you are the only guy in FL with a sled? That would have to get the climate changing locals all scared.

It's amazing the changes made in snowmobiles since then. The first sled my dad bought when I was a kid looked sort of like that. Now they are awesome machines. My buddies and I rented some in Colorado a couple years back and they were comfortable and fast.

Good luck with your project!

thanks.. this sled was rated at 43hp for only a 250cc free air sled. i remember riding it and it was terrible to ride but it really gets up and goes for being what it is.

Looks alot like the one I had when we lived in New York, near Newburgh. The best 'barn find' I ever made - A woman had a housefull of stuff, just divorced and in a hurry to move south. I gave her $250 for the Ski-Doo, an Artic Cat, and a Sears Tractor with a mower deck and snowblower. Anyway, I sold everything else but kept the Ski-Doo until we left NY and moved a bit further south. I rode it all the time and never had any problem.

i bought some stuff that i know it needed. i am pretty confident that my girlfriend and i are pretty much over at this point and that is getting in the way of some plans that we had to go to new york so i could work on it. so i am at a standstill with things till i can figure some person stuff out.
