I want a C3 so bad!! I love my C4 and its not even finihsed with mods, but I have got the worse need for a C3 right now.

I was shopping for a C3 back in 2000 when I bought my C4 and I have never looked back until now. I have thought about newer Vettes like a C5 or C6, but they don't give me the feeling that the older Vettes do.

What do you guys think?

I dont think its a "need" but rather a WANT. I think you need to finish your C4 then proceed to the C3. I really want one as well but I know I have more important things to address before I can pursue one.

Cant blame you, the lines on the C3 just have an appeal that cant be denied. Dig the gauges and console, too.

Post pics when you get it. :thumbright:

If the C4 is up and running and you can get a steal on a C3 I'd go for it. Remember that the more you have the more you have to maintain. We have 8 total vehicles. Keeping up with maintenance, even when you pay for it, is a mofo.

I did the opposite, had a C3 then got the urge for a C4, love them both for different reasons. The C3 has the looks and never fails to turn heads wherever it goes. Also the smell of gasoline and oil just brings back so many memories of the "good old days".

I can tell you that keeping up two cars can be a challange. If you're moding your C4 I would suggest getting a C3 that need very little if any work. I don't know what your budget is but I can tell you that you can pretty much forget the prices you saw in 2000. C3s have gone up in price but they're still reasonable. At least when compared to C1s and C2s.

Good luck on your search. If you have any questions before you buy don't be afraid to ask. I know this is a C4 forum, but I guess at least as long as you're one of us, you can come here for help. If not you can always PM me.

Thanks guys, this is just a growing urge. I keep going over to eBay and looking at the C3s for sale. One of the guys in our club just bought a sweet C3 a couple months ago off eBay for around $13k. It was a real nice deal for a nice car.
I know that I need to get the C4 back on road first. But it is good to hear from you guys that have multiple vettes to see what youo think.

If ya get 2, you'll just want 3. If ya get 3 you'll just want 4. :thumbleft:
I've got a C2 and a C4 and I'm just wetting my pants over an 82 vintage racer that's for sale right now.
