Well, I'll be trying to adjust the valves again tonight. Apparently either I'm a moron or this car just hates me.

Runs great though. The idle is way smoother with the new lifters.

Glad to hear the lifters are in. Look on the bright side, you'll be a professional valve lash setter by this time it's over.

Haha. If only it would stop the ticking. I'd be fine doing it. I redid them again tonight at +3/4 turn. Still no bueno. My buddy that was helping me said the now it doesn't sound like it is a engine noise.
I've already checked the header bolts. I am going to double check the collector bolts tomorrow night.

What header bolts are you using? I used stainless steel cap bolts with locking washers...no leaks, no backing out.

I'm using stainless allen heads with lock washers on the flanges and the collector bolts that Hedman supplied.

Have they backed out at all? What length are they?

I checked mine after more than 500 miles and they hadn't moved a mm.

I'm also using Percy's gaskets.

None of them were loose on the flanges. I'm using Percy's too.
