Guys check this out. I've seen these in the past but they never really impressed me like this one. I think they brought the competition in closer with each other within the various divisions.

What they did get right: The GT-R can run fast lap times driven by a chimp.  |

Good stuff......of course they claim the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups are lightly disquised race rubber.....whatever......Corvettes rule....

not really... those tires are sticky, but if I remember my Michelin tech talk from Sebring last year, they are truly a street tire.
Or am I mixing up another Pilot? Gee... so confusing. Thank's to the Tire Rack link to my left, they fixed my confusion! Whoo-hoo! The Cup's ARE the super sticky near race tire. They have a wear rating of 80. The other are the Pilot Sport PS2. They have a wear rating of 220. A single rear tire, 335/25R20 is $579.00, in the sport cup's. |

Car magazine writers hate all things Amercian automotive. You have to lean their subtle hate launguage so you get the real story. I'll translate this story for you.
"The ZR1 out ran the best Japan and Euroupe has to offer (in price range) so badly that we'll just say the seats suck, it has race tires and too much horse power.... " Quote: Do you think the ZR1 would have won with the PS2's? According to the story the same ZR1 equiped with PS 2's was only 1.1 seconds slower.... So yes it was still 1.3 seconds faster than the GTR. That line was kind burried in the story and hard to notice. They just didn't want to outright say, even with regular street tires the ZR1 is still way faster than the GTR. The ZR1 topped 154mph on the front stretch.
