I was out in the fast shit today.
The Porsche GT3 RS is just a phenomenal (hell, it outa be for $250k). 500 horse, carbonfiber brake rotors, very special suspension. Does the guy who owns the Porshaa drive it on the street or is it just for track time.....? Geez that's two brand new ZR1's sitting there.....

BTW, after I rode with him, his lap times came dow by 2 seconds which is a lot since he was already fast. |

Not much comparison, the Toyo is stiff sprung, handles decent, is fast (running similar lap times to a prepped Z06, both drivers are reasonably fast). But the Porsche will run away from both with a good driver. Very comfortable car, handles like a gokart, very flat in the corners (though the high G forces beat you up). The best part of the car is probably the brakes, just can't describe how good they are. They will leave marks on your shoulders from the belts. You can brake from 120 mph 50 to 75 feet later going into a corner than you can with a C6. The only car that could run with this car would be a ZR1. |

I figured the Porsche would walk all over the Toyota. But it still sounds impressive, although this is clearly a purpose built car with some thought in it. I'm sure the same mods in a Z06 would be astonishing.

My fault, I was not clear in my post and I was referring to the Toyota...ie, bigger turbo, etc. |

Ah, OK. The Toyo is running against a modded Z, gutted interior, cage, coilovers, laydown radiator, more horse than a stock Z. The driver of the Z is reasonably fast but I've never ridden with him. The only real way to compare is if I did some laps in both and that probably won't happen. The Toyo does have a huge weight advantage. |
