Why would the sellers not try to auction it? Seems a little odd to me. Great resto-rod project starter. Hey Matt? How much do you have in your 401K ?

I am wondering if there is a scam here or simple ignorance.

if the car is numbers matching, it's worth another $5k; once running, it's worth $30k. Fully restored, $50k.

There is money to be made here as long as there isn't a lot of expense.

Restoration on this car is $30k min. if you do most of the work.

You can get a running car (NCRS menber for) $26, a top flight vert for $45 of a top flight, frame off Split Window with 400 miles on the resto for $57

Resto mod and you're lookin at $80k to do it really nice.
