My first guess would be Ferrari. They have been using clear engine covers for a while now.
Ford had the Victoria's of the 50s which had clear roofs... |

1949 Oldsmobiles had a clear display hood that was used for showroom display of the new OHV engine. One of these that was still NIB recently became available. Of course these rare pieces are highly sought after among aficionados of these awesome cars.

I dunno, but going to all that work then sticking a plastic engine cover under it sickens me.
Toss that in the garbage and give me something to look at! I presume it uses some type of roots blower setup? Or is it centrifugal? |
