I FIND THAT CORVETTES, BEING SMALL AND LOW, TEND TO BE MASKED BY SUVS, PICKUP TRUCKS AND OTHER BULKY OBJECTS THEREBY PRODUCING A POTENTIAL HAZARD TO THE DRIVING PUBLIC. THIS CAN BE MITIGATED, HOWEVER, BY DRIVING FAST, THUS REDUCING THE ELAPSED TIME IN VISUAL DEFILADE TO A MINIMUM. THE YOUNG COP I EXPLAINED THIS TO SEEMED UTTERLY UNABLE TO GRASP THE CONCEPT INVOLVED. AT THE NEXT CITY COUNCIL MEETING I SHALL INSIST THAT THE IQ CUTOFF FOR POLICE HIRES BE ELEVATED CONSIDERABLY. |

The worst part, Gris, you are right.
We do get lost down here. It's the #1 reason I installed a loud as hell air horn (not as loud as I WANT... space issues). But still... a week doesn't go by where some dumbass soccer mom in her Lexus SUV doesn't try to merge into me... ugh... horns only go so far when the bitch is on the cellphone, ILLEGALLY. Don't those Lexus things come with bluetooth? |

I had a flashback... in the early 90s, Delaware outlawed dark window tint.
I had dark tint because my eyes are very sensitive to glare and reflection - still are, but GM glass has better filters than Honda glass, apparently. However, I got pulled over by a local cop and his comment was, "I could not see what you were doing inside your car." I was flabbergasted! Want me to leave my curtains open so you can see what I do inside my house? I didn't say it, but I thought it. I had a legal waiver... signed by my Doctor... And then he says, "put on your seatbelt..." I told him I always wear it, and it was only off to get at my wallet. morons... |
