While I'll probably never have to worry about this, I imagine that if the Viqueens win the Super Bowl, the first thing I'd do would be to set the couch on fire.

Well, it's been a busy day. I got four packages in the mail and UPS. One was a new screen for my #3 grandson's Iphone that he dropped a couple weeks ago. So I learned how to replace those today (under the supervision of one of my high school students ) A second package had the new gasket for my water softner, so I got that swapped out. The third package had a part for my shaper that it hasn't had since I bought it in 1992. Ran aon it across it on Ebay for a cheap "buy it now" price, so, I bought now. Put that on and now it's like new....OK, not new, but I don't have to use pliers anymore.

The fourth package had a replacement splash guard for the Corvette in it. If you remember, these are the ones that are painted the same as the car color, Magnetic Red in my case. This summer, while on vacation, running about 80mph down I80 just outside of Cheyenne, WY, we came up on this piece of plywood laying in the middle of the road. With a truck in the lane next to us, we had no place to go, so I ran over it and when I did, it flipped up and cracked the front passenger side guard. I've been contemplating what I was going to do. I really didn't want to buy another complete set. So last month I contacted the place I bought them originally and asked about purchasing just the one I needed...."No, we don't sell just one. I'll sell you a front pair for $75 plus shipping. but I suggest you could contact Altec directly." I said "Would I have them send it to you to paint?" "No, they paint them there." So, I email them and never hear from them. So I contact the dealer and ask what's going on and they tell me I would get a better response if I call directly. So after waiting three weeks I decide to call. They pickup on the second ring and I explain my problem, the guys says, send me an email and I'll get back to you. Yea, right. But I do send him one and within a few minutes he gets back to me saying he will replace it for $25 plus shipping. The complete set cost $150 when I bought them, for them to replace one for $25 is what customer service is all about. I HIGHLY recommend Altec products. Anyway, I got that changed out as well.

So I have had a busy day.

Only $25? Apparently they don't charge a Corvette tax ;-)
